The dusk night was bright orange and rainy with fork lightening lighting up the sky…we braced ourselves for a weekend of camping in tents. Two hours later, the air is dewy and hot with a big drop plop on my roof tent every so often. Remember camping before Iphones?
Oh yeah! #99 and #98 knocked off the bucket list (at least for 2010 since 99 is an ongoing one). We stopped at EMS and picked up a therma rest inflatable sleeping pad (no more achy back on camping trips), tarp, and a new 3 season sleeping bag that stuffs into a 2 x 3 bag. Now our biking and hiking camping trips will be much easier. I picked up only what was absolutely needed for this trip… HOWEVER, a quick survey around the store revealed to me that bucket list #98 might just turn into a recurring item along with it’s sucessor. I must remind myself the virtue of living simply!!!
Looking forward to a morning canoe adventure on the lake followed by a day and night filled with great music!
