This scene filled me with such joy this afternoon. I haven’t scene this man in the Boston Common in ages and I’ve often wondered about his whereabouts. When I was an undergraduate student at Emerson College in the mid-nineties, I used to enjoy quiet moments between class helping him fly his kite and petting the dog that accompanied him. During some of my most stressful periods, my interactions with the kite man and his furry friend helped to ease my tension and remind me of what is really important.
