Dar Williams @ Passim

It’s been almost ten years since Dar Williams has played at Passim. She outgrew this intimate listening room at least that long ago. But I was so very grateful that she chose to host her “pre-release” CD show in this nostalgic (and my favorite!!) venue where every seat is a good one.

I was so pleased that she gave a shout out to a couple of my favorite stations including Emerson College’s own WERS that hosted her very first interview. She told us she was so nervous and– in the very beginning– she was like, “Oh no! Did I really say that?!” But was relieved that it was also the DJ’s first interview and she wasn’t properly mic’ed so no one heard what could have been her failure.

How lucky I am to live in a city and be a part of two communities that allow young artists to cut their teeth: Emerson College and Club Passim!
